Saturday was supposed to be my last cardio day of the week… and it was. It just wasn’t a good one. I won’t go into why (I promised) but in the end I did 3.5 miles and called it good enough.
After that, I did a little yard work and then relaxed. We went to the movie Gemini Man with Will Smith. I wasn’t expecting much…most Will Smith movies don’t really impress me. But I actually enjoyed this movie even if it’s been done before. The way they did the young version of him was aaaaalmost convincing, but not quite. You could still tell it wasn’t real, but that technology is coming along quickly. I’ve been telling people it won’t be long before they no longer need Tom Hanks or Brad Pitt to act, just to sign some papers for them to use their likeness and collect money. You just wait.
It did get me thinking about what I’d do of I could clone myself. Would I want to warn him about all the mistakes I’ve made or let him live? Would I raise him or have someone else? Would he be cooler than me? Id definitely get him started on wellness, fitness and nutrition early on. Not like those parents who have their 8 year old in CrossFit, but just plant that seed early so he starts out being strong instead of trying to work towards it later in life.
Anyway, exercise was good today, steps were good although 250+ hours were terrible, and food was…ok. I don’t think I over did it but I think I toed the line a bit. Guess we’ll see when I weigh Monday how things went this week.
And since stress has such a big impact, I don’t know how confident I am…
