Since I am unable to do my normal leg day, I decided to be a bit creative. If you remember yesterday’s post, I talked about how I couldn’t do squats because of some back pain, so I didn’t do legs on Monday. Well, I didn’t want to do the elliptical or treadmill again, so I decided to do some Time Under Tension (TUT) Leg exercises. This consists of taking 3 seconds to do a single rep of each exercise, so it isn’t just “throw it up as fast as you can!” but actually a slow, steady exercise. There were a few times when I wanted to stop before getting to 10, but I would rest for a few seconds before finishing. Especially the leg extensions… that thing destroyed my thighs and I believe I will feel it for a couple of days.
The rest of the day went okay. I almost got perfect on my 250+ steps, ate decently and accounted for it all, and got plenty of steps in. I am having a tough time wanting to eat the food I am picking, however. It is healthy and tastes okay, but it is almost like I am starting to dislike eating the same/similar things a lot. I used to not care, but maybe it is getting to that point. We’ll see what happens, I guess.
Wednesday is actually going to be the first day I have a meeting this week which is miraculous. I don’t like having meetings because I feel I can be doing more at my desk with my attention there, but at the same time, I know they are often important. But it is nice to go two full days without having to have one.
