I lasted about four months. That is all that I could do. And it is a little sad. That’s right, folks. For anyone who remembers, I had said that I was going to grow my hair out to donate it to Wigs for Kids like my wife had been doing. But I just can’t. I haven’t gone outside of my house without a hat on in over four months. My head looked like a cat had been interrupted in the middle of licking its ass. It just wasn’t going to work. And I knew I couldn’t last 18 to 24 more months with only wearing a hat. So I gave in.
My friend Doug has spent the last four months desperately trying to see my hair but since I always wore a hat, he never had a chance. He almost got to see it the other day after I was finished at the gym, but with my ninja skills I thwarted his efforts. So I apologize to him for never letting him fulfill this dream.
However, that doesn’t mean I am not giving! In a way of repercussions, I had my wife measure my hair and for every inch short of 12 inches I was, I donated $10. I had grown three inches of hair, so I donated $90 to Wigs for Kids
I know it probably isn’t as fulfilling, but I am sure they can put it to good use and hopefully a child or two is helped because of this. I do hate not following through completely with my goal, but it just wasn’t going to work well for that long.
The rest of the day was okay. I once again ate more than I had planned because I am doing the “eat all day” instead of intermittent fasting, but I was still within my calories. I wouldn’t be too surprised if my scale didn’t go down as much as I would like, but that is okay. As long as it’s going in the right direction overall. I got plenty of steps, missed one hour of 250+ steps by four steps (4!!) and got my exercise in although I slept in a little which is odd so I obviously needed it.
