It certainly didn’t take me long to realize that doing upper-body lifts wasn’t going to be happening anytime soon. I thought I would start very light and just do a few exercises to get into it and see if I could. It took a single rep of about 90 pounds on the bench press to tell me that wasn’t going to happen. So I instead spent more time on the elliptical which is really what I had planned anyway.
My legs are still pretty sore from leg day on Monday so I didn’t do the sprint intervals that I had been doing lately. I instead just did hill intervals that started at a lower “incline” and went up then back down. It was still a pretty good workout but I really am missing the weights.
As far as everything else went, it was a normal day. I got all my steps in plus some, enjoyed coffee and water and soda and ate throughout the day. I did eat a little more than I normally plan to, but I was still WAY under my calories so I am not too worried about it.
On the bad news front, I did get a call from my doctor and they said I needed to go in for a sleep study/consultation to see if I do need a CPAP. So that is now set up for the middle of September. I really wish I didn’t have to do it, but anything to live longer, right?
