Now THAT is the kind of number I was hoping to see. I still followed the tradition of weighing more on Monday morning than I did on Saturday or Sunday morning, but not nearly as much this week. I have to figure that part out. I am staying well within my calories and the only difference is that I am eating a low sugar ice cream Sunday evenings. I can’t imagine it would do that, but perhaps it does since it is the only common denominator.
So after being excited about my weight, I headed to the gym and decided to run instead of using the elliptical. As I mentioned in my week 7 recap, I think I am losing muscle as I am doing all this cardio and eating at a caloric deficit. I am not too worried about it, but I think it is also impacting my running, strangely enough. I know I could do SOME leg exercises, but the big ones (like squats) I can’t do weighted right now with my shoulder. So my run was better than it’s been lately, but still seems to be lacking quite a bit.
Or perhaps I am overusing my legs right now. Since running is all that I can do, that is all I am doing. Maybe I need to spend a week just walking and relaxing a bit more then get back into running. I guess that’s something I’ll figure out by the end of next week.
Monday was a decent day, I had plenty of steps, good exercise, had good food, drank plenty of water and coffee and felt pretty good for the most part. The downside was that I had to pick up an oximeter to do a sleep test to see if I need to go in for a full sleep study for possibly getting a CPAP. I have heard it works wonders when you need it, but I can’t help but hope I don’t need it.
