So this is the first Monday that my weight has gone up. While it’s a little frustrating (especially considering I was down to 293.3 a few days ago), I now know a huge mistake I’ve been making with my low carb days. Hopefully fixing that will help a lot.
My first day back at the office wasn’t too bad. Wearing the sling is understandable in order to keep me from unconsciously moving my shoulder, but none of this helps me with work in any way. I had to position my mouse directly in front of my bellybutton and half the time can only type with one hand unless I want to move my mouse and mouse pad every time I need to type. But I got plenty done and had no issues for the most part.
The gym wasn’t too bad either. I had 10 days remaining on my Lazy Triathlon so I got on the bike and started peddling. It has been a very long time since I’ve really used a bike in any form. I didn’t just set it to level 1 and pedal, I actually chose an alternating program that went from 1 to 16 and everywhere in between, so I got a great workout. As long as I can put in at least 10 miles or so per day, I should still be able to finish the triathlon in time.
My plan to cut out 5% excess calories worked well as I just removed some fluffy things like condiments and extra bread from my dinner. I do like having a sandwich, but that is like 240 calories saved from bread alone. Here’s hoping it all works out in the end.
The main frustration yesterday was I missed getting all 14 hours of 250+ steps by 12 steps… argh!
