Here’s the recap for week 5 of my Project 7×52!
I did exercise every day and I made sure to always get at least 30 minutes in even the day after I had surgery. It may have only been walking, but it is still much better than just sitting around.
I got over 10,000 steps every day and totaled 94,076 for the week (about 18,000 fewer steps than the previous week) which is an average of 13,439 steps per day. I don’t feel bad about it because I beat my goal and still got steps in despite not feeling at 100%. In fact, the most steps I got in a day was Tuesday, less than 24 hours after my surgery.
250+ Steps Per Hour: C+
I averaged just over 8 hours per day with 250+ steps this week. As expected, it did drop quite a bit and was well below my goal. I tried to get as much in as possible, but when you’re laid up half of one day and getting as much rest as possible the other days, it can be tough.
Food Tracking: C
I am really going to ding myself after finding out I had been over-eating 3 days out of the week. I should have paid more attention especially when I kept thinking to myself “this sure is a lot of food!” Oh well, lesson learned. Also, despite Saturday being my free day, I really should try to avoid all-you-can-eat places except on rare occasion.
