Thursday was my first day back to work. Luckily I have a job that is flexible and I am able to work from home. I have to basically grip my right arm with my left hand to move it anywhere above waist level so it isn’t the easiest thing to work on a keyboard and mouse. I also – as mentioned – hadn’t showered in 3 days and I was not going to make anyone deal with that. I remember being a teenager who hated showering, now I rarely go a full day without it. Work wasn’t too bad as I only had one meeting and was able to get a few things done, but I really feel like I am behind due to the 2.5 days I missed. Luckily, catching up on emails was simple so I just have to get caught up on all my work and projects and cleanups.
After work, I was able to finally remove my bandage and shower which was heavenly and painful at the same time. Trying to shower with one arm, while keeping the other arm as dry as possible, not being able to use both hands to shampoo… ugh. Once again, taking things for granted is so easy to do.
Eating and drinking what I had planned was easy as always. It seems to be getting easier and easier, becoming a habit rather than a chore. And the fact that Saturday is my Free Day and I can enjoy some extra things really make up for when I want to try something else. Eating and drinking stuff other than water has always been my biggest struggle, so it is good to see it becoming easier.
