Sunday. The day of relaxing and being a bit more lazy than usual. The day we go shopping. The last day to relax before heading back the the workforce on Monday. Also the day that apparently takes its SUNday name far too literally.
97°F (36.1°C) is just not comfortable. It was nearly already that by the time we finished shopping. There was no way I was going to go out and walk in that temperature. The funny thing is, is that I would go run in that temperature. The difference is probably two-fold. I would be in workout clothes and I expect to sweat and would shower after (vs just walking in my street clothes and not wanting to have to shower) and the sweat + wind rushing through my hair factor helping me cool off. Regardless, no unnecessary outside walking was done.
One small upcoming change that is happening with my food. I’ve decided to do a bit more carb cycling. Now, I do not believe that carbs are evil, but I know that carb cycling has it’s benefits (mainly fewer calories while eating a ton with what I am eating) so I am giving it a shot. If it doesn’t work, the “regular” way I have been doing it has been working fine.
So today I ate a proverbial crap ton of vegetables. I know they aren’t exactly low carb, but they are low net carb and high in fiber plus all the other deliciousness and health benefits of veggies. Along with some chicken and a bit of cheese, I could barely get all that food down. Probably the most food I’ve ever eaten at once and it was hardly anything calorie-wise. I was supposed to have a second dish of that plus a protein and peanut butter shake, but there was no way I could eat another giant bowl of vegetables and chicken, so I just had my protein and peanut butter shake and called it a day. Hopefully I’m not starving in the morning!
