I am back! I was on vacation for the past 10-11 days and decided to just not worry about the blog while I was gone. I spent time with my kids and granddaughter, spent time with my parents, did some yard work, bowled, rested my ankle and other injuries and just had a great time. But now it’s back to reality. And to the promise I made myself.
Today I started my fast. I plan to do it for a week, but I am going to listen to my body and break it if I feel the need. I will be doing at least a 48 hour fast, but once I get to that point, we’ll see how I feel. Why? I just sort of want to reset my gut biome and kick-start my ketosis and just do a full reset. While I am fasting, I am not sure I will be going to the gym. I might go and walk or jog, but I don’t want to push myself too much without having any food in the belly. Along with the entire fast, we’ll see how I feel.
The other thing on the plate is my shoulder. While doing some of the yard work, I couldn’t help but notice it was continuously aggravated. I guess it is time to give in and contact the surgeon and set up time to get it done. I know that it will set me back even further because I won’t be able to lift for a while, but better than dragging it out.
So today was a nice, lazy day getting back into the swing of things at work. I did walk on my breaks and lunch with friends but no other exercise. Tonight I’ll be going to Brightburn and then turning in for another long day tomorrow!
