I swear sometimes that the world is out to get me. First an abdominal strain that lasted for six months. Then back pain that is reoccurring. Then the foot, the arm, the back some more, the roof, the food, yada yada yada! Today it just so happens to be my ankle that is deciding to make my life miserable.

Saturday after I got back from our date I noticed that when I accidentally bumped it sideways, it hurt. But otherwise, it didn’t bother me the rest of the weekend. However, today it hurts to even walk. I ended up having to purchase a brace for it and have been taking it easier a bit more than I want.

I suppose there are always times in our lives when we feel like everything is happening non stop. Much like my “when it rains, it pours” discussion, sometimes things just come at you from all sides. And you just have to make the best out of it.

So I have my brace on, I did the first part of my testing for my 10 rep max lifts today and might be doing some tomorrow. Most of what I have left are leg exercises including squats so I am not sure how well I’ll do with those on my gimpy ankle.

Other than that, I got over 13,000 steps for the day, went and saw John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum with my wife and had a decent but busy day overall.

  1. eeek! Sorry your ankle hurts!! Fingers crossed it will get better soon!

I know how you feel, I am just getting back on track after breaking my ankle last august, and then on saturday I fell down and am now all bruised and sore and I think i need to do more ankle rehab to make sure it doesn’t happen more!

    1. Ouch! I am sorry about that, hopefully you get enough rehab to prevent it from happening down the road. Injuries are the worst.
