Today was a day.

Literally.

I mean, it’s always a day so it’s nothing special, but maybe every day should be thought of as more than just another in a long line of days.

I woke up, got ready for the gym, got on the train, got to the gym and did 28 minutes of alternating walking/jogging/running. I walked for 3 minutes, jogged for 2, ran for 1, jogged for 2 and repeated (that low heart rate squiggle at the end is me forgetting to stop my FitBit… shocking, I know).

After sweating a bit and showering, I got to work and basically worked non-stop other than a couple short meetings and my walk breaks that I try to take every day. In all honesty, I have absolutely nothing to complain about today.

And that’s something I should do more often. Not complain. What does complaining do? I guess it let’s you vent? Helps with stress maybe? But maybe I need to be more selective in the things I complain about. Is it something that really impacts my life or just something I want to whine about? That’s a thought I’m going to have to start putting into place in my life.

So I finished the day off with over 15,000 steps. I played some League of Legends with the boys.  I ate terribly which I guess I can at least admit… but I need to do something about. And I am about to head to bed in a few before the glorious Friday rolls around.

With no complaints.

  1. Complaining can sometimes be useful… it highlights things we are unhappy with and could possibly change…

But you are right, sometimes you have to stop and think about whether the complaining is just for the sake of it!
