Today was quite a wonderful day. I got to sleep in. I didn’t have to worry about work e-mails. I didn’t have to worry about work, period. I got up, went to the gym and did my workout (sorta), spent the day with my wife and we went on our date and finally saw Captain Marvel. Lately we have been going to a comedy club because we had a season pass so other than the initial purchase, all shows we went to were free. Our last comedy show was last weekend so we decided to hit up the movie this weekend. I am very glad that I did! Captain Marvel was a great movie and a great prequel to all that’s been happening in the Marvel universe.
So back to my workout. I normally do a sort of medley where I run for 1 mile, do fartleks (tee hee) for 1 mile, then do alternating sprints and walks for 3 more miles for a total of 5. Today… I decided just to get on the treadmill and alternate running and walking. I still did the hour, but I probably didn’t do quite as much good as my normal workout does. I can definitely tell I haven’t been treating my body right.
So Sunday is grocery shopping day along with rest day, but we normally still try to get our 10,000 steps in as well. I also talked my wife into doing 5K races with me again! So I am going to start looking into those. I love running… I know it’s odd, but I do.
Everyone else should join as well! Find a race and do one! Even if you walk, they are usually for a great cause and get you moving.
