Being sick is a terrible thing. I honestly don’t know if I am sick right now or if I just can’t get rid of the cough I have because of the crappy air, but no matter what it is I want it to go away. This isn’t just an annoyance, it is something that actually hinders much of my life and those around me. Coughing while I am trying to sleep makes it tough for me and my wife to go to sleep. Coughing at work is annoying and scares people (obviously it’s some sort of zombie plague I am spreading). Exercising with a cough is far from the easiest thing in the world.
I got sick during Christmas break and feel fine, it’s just that the cough won’t go away. It’s usually worse in the morning after I sleep so maybe it has something to do with snoring or other things. Maybe it’s the fact that Utah has some of the worst air in the nation. Or maybe it’s the zombie plague.
I had a pretty good day today. I talked with a friend about a diet and have decided that I am going to try to be a bit better with eating. I am still going to eat what I want as long as I am at a calorie deficit, but I am probably going to do some alternating with “normal” eating and low-carb eating. Low carb is not my favorite thing but I do know I tend to lose weight easier doing it that way.
The good thing about low-carb is that I can still eat human flesh once I become a full zombie.
Breakfast – Hash browns, eggs and cheese casserole
Snacks – Granola bars and Snickers Marathon bars
Lunch – Chicken paninis
Dinner – Chicken patty sandwiches and salad
Dessert – Pop Tart with peanut butter
An hour+ of walking at work
4 miles on a treadmill walking/jogging including HIIT
30 minutes of Just dance
