So if anything could stop me from waking up at 4 AM and running it would be a holiday, right?
I was still up bright and early on Thanksgiving morning to do my quick workout. The main reason for this is because I had to work anyway, so it really made no difference if I didn’t get up. I could have gotten a few more minutes of sleep, but I would rather burn a few hundred more calories and get a few thousand more steps in.
After my chilly and delightful workout I was stuck in the office. The good thing about working on Thanksgiving is that it usually isn’t too busy and there are not many people around to bother you but enough to talk to. After cleaning up the leftovers from the late night/early morning it was basically dead. I got to listen to the Packers and the Lions play, ate some pie, had a nice breakfast potluck and enjoyed time with my friends.
Then I got to head home and go to dinner with some of my family. It was a lovely dinner followed by some basketball and some pinochle. I am terrible at pinochle but that’s because I never played it before I met my wife and I don’t play it enough to remember how it’s done. But it’s still fun to do. Myself and my partner lost of course.
All-in-all I ate too much of things that I shouldn’t, had to waste some of my day at work and then got to spend time with some of the best people in the world.
P.S. I almost posted the picture of the Miley Cyrus Twerky but couldn’t stomach it…
