I talk a lot about fantasy football on this blog of weight loss.  I talk a lot about football in general I suppose.  But that’s what you have to deal with since it is my blog.  If you don’t like it, go read another blog.

Not really, I have very few followers as it is so please don’t bail on me.

I’m still talking about football though.

I play in two paid leagues and am currently in first place in one and fourth place in the other.  Each week I set my lineup after doing hours of research and reading and checking and usually feel good about how things look.  Normally one of my leagues is projected to blow out my competition while the other is either going to lose (but as close as I can get to winning) or barely win.  But it never fails that the opposite happens.  The league projected to win either loses or goes down to the wire while the league projected to lose or be close is a blowout.

This week is no different.  My “close” game I ended up winning by about 80 points and my “blowout” game went down to the wire on Monday night.  Heading into the game I was up by 47 points with Martellus Bennett remaining on my team and Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy, James Starks and Micah Hyde on the other guys team.  I was still projected to win by 13 but I knew Rodgers could throw for a million yards and a hundred touchdowns if he wanted to.  So what happened…?

I won a squeaker.  Luckily for me, Aaron Rodgers got injured early and never returned.  That of course meant that Eddie Lacy had a huge game which he may not have had with Rodgers in so I could have won either way, but it was a butt-pucker-game for a while.

Other than that, it was a crazy, busy day.  Swamped at work, then the gym, then dinner.  It felt like I was doing something from 5 am until 6 pm.  And it’s probably because I was…

Breakfast – Homemade Egg McMuffin
Snacks – Granola bars and pork jerky
Lunch – Pizza
Dinner – Chicken Marinara Bake
Dessert – Donuts and fig newtons

An hour+ of walking at work

4.6 miles on the treadmill while joining my wife in C25K

  1. I don’t understand fantasy football…or actual football…well I get the general gist of it and would be pretty ok knowing what was going in more or less if I watched a game (American football or English Football) but it doesn’t interest me that much…however..i can see why it interests lots of people 🙂
Cricket is more my sport and F1 racing…

    but I won’t bail on you 🙂

it is your blog after all…I talk nonsense on mine a lot of the time!

woohoo for 4.6 miles! this running is very impressive! I am plateauing with my running…but i think that is because I am getting completely sidetracked by lifting up heavy stuff and putting it back down!

    1. Yeah, lifting can hold you back from running. I don’t do a lot of lower body lifting because I’m already pretty darn strong in that area.

      And I don’t understand cricket at all…

      1. Lifting can hold you back from running because it is much more fun 😀

But I have split focus a bit at the moment… But I am going to carry on doing both for now and see what I like better 🙂

      2. I know both are important because lifting gives you strength and toning while running gives you endurance and stamina. I like doing both myself though I am getting more and more into running.
