I never really thought about having to do races or exercising outside. But we got the opportunity to practice that on Monday.

While it wasn’t snowing or raining or anything like that, the wind was blowing about a thousand miles an hour… give or take. It was cold, it was windy, it wasn’t fun. But we did it anyway. I have no plans of doing races during the winter, but these is a chance of inclement weather so I guess I’d better get used to it.

It wouldn’t have been so bad if I didn’t wear contacts, I suppose.  The wind trying to embed dirt in my lenses isn’t the most pleasant thing when running.  This is another reason I need to get lasik.  That is now reason like, 436 or something.

Extra proud of my wife for pushing through some knee pain and finishing strong.  There are times in the past that I’ve wanted to stop due to pain so I know how she feels, but she finished anyway.  I can’t wait until she is doing full 5K races while running with me.

Of course, I’ll still have to kick her ass…

Breakfast – Homemade egg McMuffin
Snack – Granola bars
Lunch – Stew
Dinner – Crockpot Cream Chicken
Dessert – Protein shake and a donut
