What a busy weekend that gets ruined by the Denver Broncos first loss.
Okay, it didn’t really ruin anything, but it wasn’t how I wanted to spend my Sunday evening. But I’m orange and blue for life, so I certainly am not going to jump to another team like many do. They didn’t play well and deserved to lose, and it probably will open their eyes on things they need to work on (like penalties, defense and Ronnie “Fumble” Hillman competing again Trindon “Balldrop” Holliday for the most turnovers). I will say that they still nearly made a comeback even though they were playing terribly, so my hopes obviously aren’t dashed for the season. I won’t even get into my fantasy game this weekend, though…
Other than that, the weekend was great. Had a nice date with my wife; we went and ate at Sizzler’s and got a free meal thanks to a waitress spilling a drink on my wife. Then we went and saw “An Unexpected Guest” from Agatha Christie which was quite nice. Enjoyed being lazy, finished up Dexter (the ending was kind of “meh” but not terrible) and started watching 24 while we wait for Breaking Bad to be available, went on a nice long walk and just had a great weekend.
Until football started…
