Tuesday’s complaint won’t involve actual pain, but it will involve being sore. I understand that the human body is a mysterious machine, but why is it that I can do the same sort of exercise day after day and have no issues, but then one day one part of my body or another is sore? My hamstrings – for whatever reason – are incredibly sore after running on Monday. Maybe it’s because I went further than I normally did. I still stretched afterwards, same as I always do. Now I get to look forward to working out with sore muscles. The good news is that sore muscles can usually get warmed up and sort of dissolve into the background during a workout.
At least my back and my hip haven’t been giving me many problems lately. Guess that is a good reason for the insurance to not want to cover an MRI. But we’ll see what happens in the future. Everything seems to go in a pattern with me. I’ll be fine for a while, in pain for a while, recovery… rinse and repeat. Maybe the next time I am in pain for a while I can get everything taken care of.
But I don’t want these posts to always be about complaining. It’s just that sometimes I haven’t much to talk about other than that. It was a nice Tuesday. Boring at work but was over with quickly. Had a nice dinner with the family and got to watch lots of Dexter. Had a nice workout at the gym though I didn’t get as far as I would have liked. And enjoyed some more delicious donuts. Who doesn’t like donuts?
