Monday’s are slowly becoming the best day of the work week. Why? My schedule. I got things arranged that – for the time being – I have a nice early day on Monday. That gives me a chance to sort of “break in” the work week before it really begins on Tuesday. Gives me a chance to get my toes wet before I dive right in. Gives me a chance to taste the spices before taking a bite. You get the idea.
After my nice day at work, and a nice nap, my wife and I went on a nice hike. There’s a spot near where we live that takes you up to waterfall. It’s a pretty short hike but a nice up-and-down kind of hike. We walked there and admired the water and the cool temperature and then headed back home. After a delicious dinner, we got to spend the rest of the evening watching the Broncos handle the Raiders.
I will admit that I am disappointed that the score looked so close. In fact, I am disappointed that Denver scored 27 points in the first half and a mere 10 in the second half. I know it doesn’t help when Manning fumbles when we’re about to score and then Ball does the same thing later, but it sure looked a lot closer at the end than it really was. All that said, I still believe Denver to be the best team in the AFC and one of the top 3 teams in the NFL. I’m excited to watch this season. Well, I’m excited to watch every season, but this one in particular.
