Ah, the NFL Network is always an enjoyable thing to listen to all day long while working. Speaking of the NFL, yesterday’s game was amazingly awesome. In case you didn’t know, I hate the New England Patriots and the fact that in the “all important 3rd game of preseason” they did so terrible is good news for me. This means – of course – that the Broncos had better do a really good job this weekend or else I’ll be eating my own words.
And yes, it is Friday, fool! This has been a pretty busy week, nothing too terrible happened (though I do have some intestinal woes today for some reason) and I was able to get in all of my exercises. The only thing that sort of sucked about exercise this week is that my wife and I decided to go to Aqua Zumba last night (no drowning involved) and the lightning decided to show up RIGHT as we were starting. That meant fewer calories burned for both of us. It’s not a huge deal for me because each day I am able to munch on more and more to get my calories, but my wife was hoping to enjoy some snackage before bed, but the extra workout didn’t happen. I won’t lie, though; I love the thunder and rain. It was shaking the house last night. Awesome.
So other than that, and my gluteous maximus being super sore from squats, my workout week was pretty good. Tonight will be the last day of Stronglifts 5×5 for the week and I am hoping to make it without stalling on any of my lifts. Wish me luck! If I can get through this week, then next week I’ll be attempting to do overhead presses at 135 pounds. That the bar and two BIG plates. Boom!
