I am so incredibly sore today. My wife and I did lunges, shadow boxing, standing ab crunches and pushups for our Tabata workout yesterday and I think it killed us both. I am having to re-re-evaluate how often we work out because I am supposed to do the last week of my C25K this week and I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it! My lats, shoulders, chest, glutes and thighs are as sore as they used to be years ago and I didn’t even use any weights. Guess we’ll see what happens with changing it up to every other day instead of 3 on, 1 off, 2 on, 1 off.
UPDATE
So I was still able to do my C25K today, ran for a full 30 minutes without stopping. I went about the same speed that I normally went as well, so I think I did great even though I was very sore. Tomorrow morning is going to be a whole different ballgame trying to do Tabata, but we’ll see what happens when the alarm rings.
Meals:
Breakfast – 2 egg omelet with turkey
Snacks – PB and chocolate chip granola bar and some string cheese
Lunch – Mama Mary’s pizza
Dinner – Orange honey chicken, BBQ chicken, whole wheat spaghetti salad, cheetohs and salad
Snack/Dessert – Protein shake with Cracklin’ Oat Bran and a slice of Little Caesars pizza
Exercise:
1 hour of walking during work
C25K – 4.39 miles in 60 minutes
🙂 well done for doing your C25K even though you were achy and didn’t feel like it! It is amazing how much we can do once we get fitter isn’t it 😀
Thanks! It is pretty crazy to think I would be running for 30 minutes straight at all let alone while being so sore. It’s a good feeling indeed.
