Wonderful day today!  It was nice to get back into doing tabata this morning.  I’ve never been able to tell if I feel ‘more energetic’ throughout the day because of it, but it was nice to do.  Had nice walks during work with my Bromantic partner and a great workout with my lovely wife.  Also got to eat taco salads… the white man version of Navajo Tacos.

I changed things up a tiny bit today and did my C25K followed by biking.  I am not sure if I am going to keep doing this or not as it seemed to hurt my knees, but was nice to do as a change of pace.  Oh, also made a delicious peanut butter pie that I cannot wait to eat tomorrow.  It sounds delicious and is quite healthy for a pie.

Post-workout – Turkey wrap
Breakfast – 2 egg omelet with turkey
Snacks – Caramel Spice Cake yogurt and string cheese
Lunch – Pizza
Dinner – Taco Salad
Dessert – Cracklin’ Oat Bran protein shake

18:30 of tabata

C25K – 3.28 miles in 40 minutes

Biking – 4.26 miles in 15 minutes

  1. 🙂 keep up the good work!
Just in case you didn’t know (i only learned this recently) painful knees is often a result of tight quads, which you can get with biking. So do lots of quad stretching every day and possibly get a foam roller (if you don’t already have one) I found it really helped me 🙂

    1. Thanks for the info! I don’t bike much. In fact, yesterday was the first time in years! But I have been stretching more including my quads so hopefully it helps.

  2. It is definitely worth doing, quads and hip flexors can get very tight and this can lead to all sorts of unexpected pains. I have very tight hip flexors and quads from sitting all day in a naff ice, then getting up and dancing in heavy shoes. I have really upped my stretching and my foam roller is amazing!
I hope it helps…I guess, lots of stretching can’t hurt anyway 🙂
