I am so incredibly sore today.  I think the hefty working out we did on Tuesday with the 30 Day Shred, running, swimming and aqua aerobics has caught up to me.  But it’s Thursday!  I only have 2 more days before the weekend so I am going to push through.  Tonight is simply the pool (depending on the weather and my lovely wife).

In other news, I did some research into the Stronglifts 5×5 program and I think that I have figured it all out and am doing it correctly now.  And if my ass could talk, it would tell you it’s true!  My glutes are so sore, as are my thighs and hamstrings.  That is a feeling I haven’t really felt since high school.  When I lost weight previously I did not do squats, I focused on the upper body.  This program seems too good to be true, but it is already starting to tear me up.

Finally, the Bodybugg.  I am not sure what to think of this sucker.  Yesterday it claims that I burned over 2,000 calories JUST doing my workouts!  That included the 30 Day Shred, 1 hour of walking at work, 30 minutes of strength training and 30 minutes of cardio.  That seems like a lot of calories and if it is true, I supposedly burned more than I ate.  So I am not sure if I am not reading the information right or what, but hopefully I can figure it out in the next few days.

Skipped cardio today. Very sore, tired and feel a rest is good. Still did other exercises. Also got hungry for the first time in 32 days. Three times! May need to adjust my intake.

Meals:

Breakfast – 2 egg omelet with turkey
Snacks – Carbmaster Caramel Spice Cake yogurt and some string cheese
Lunch – General Tso’s Chicken
Dinner – Ham and Green Bean Casserole
Dessert/Snack – Turkey wrap with low carb tortilla, some peanut butter and a protein shake
