About a month ago my wife and I decided to start exercising. We discussed it and – since we both love food – we figured we would simply exercise and it we would lose at least a little weight, right? WRONG! Here we are a month later and I have lost a whopping 3 pounds. That may be good enough for some people, but with me it is nothing. So we are going to both commit to eating more healthy and exercising, cutting out the crap we don’t need, motivating each other and just making life better for both of us.
I un-un-unofficially started a month ago, and last week I un-unofficially started. At that time I weighed 337 pounds. After just the small changes I made over the week, I now weight 333 pounds. Not too shabby.
We will unofficially start on Monday, eating better using the foods we have in the house and making better choices. Then starting in June we are officially starting with a whole new shopping list, new foods, new meals, new gameplan, new life change.
This is probably the hardest thing for me to do and the hardest thing for you to see, but I gotta do it. This is me right now:
Not the prettiest thing, is it? But it’s me, and it’s what I need to change.
It may sound strange that there are so many unofficial starts but I have found that when I try to instantly and quickly make a change, it is more difficult. I am going to gradually build up to June 1st and that is when the big changes happen.]
I am already going to the gym 5 days a week, already cutting back on soda, already changing what I eat and how much of it I eat, so I think it is going well.
You may go wash your eyes out now.
